HI, I'm Amy.
I use small ink drawings, photographs, writing and design to investigate the experience of motherhood: sometimes in quotidian, domestic moments and sometimes through a deeper, more expansive lens. Recently, my work has visually contemplated feelings of anxiety that run parallel to my young son’s developing imagination and awareness, and that are tied to my recent pregnancy and the birth of my second child.
I am an MFA candidate at the University of South Carolina. I hold a BA in Art History and French from Wofford College and an MA in Illustration: Authorial Practice from Falmouth University. My previous roles include Art Curator at the South Carolina State Museum, Program Assistant at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum, and Adjunct Instructor at the Columbus College of Art and Design.
